Three die in Plateau attacks
EMERGENCY DIGEST- Three persons have been reported killed and many injured in two attacks in Plateau State.
In one of the attacks early Tuesday, gunmen killed a local miner and injured an unspecified number of persons in Yelwa Zangam area of Jos North council of the state.
Two commuters were killed in the second assault in Bida Bidi area of Zaria Road in Jos, the state capital
Also, more people were injured and properties vandalised by the attackers.
Information officer of Operation Safe Haven, Major Ishaku Takwa, confirmed the attacks in a statement.

An eyewitness report confirmed the presence of security personnel in the vicinity.
Lalong, in a statement by his spokesman, Dr. Makut Simon Macham, commended security forces for their swift response, which helped to restore normalcy.
He directed them to go after the attackers and arrest them.
