Kano Commissioner In Dilemma Over Missing Son
There is apprehension among the family members of the Kano State Commissioner for Women Affairs, Dr Zahrau Muhammad Umar, following the disappearance of her 24-year old son, Abdulrahman Abdu Usman.
City News gathered that Abdulrahman has been missing for about 15 days and it has not yet been established if it is a case of abduction.
He reportedly left his family house in Kano on January 17, for Katsina where he is serving his mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and since then all effort to trace his whereabouts have proven abortive as he cannot be reached on his mobile phones.
The family also gathered that Abdulrahman did not arrive Katsina.

Confirming the incident, the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Dr Zahrau Muhammad Umar, said it had been days they saw the young man lost.
A family source, who spoke to City News, confirmed that no one had contacted the family over any possible abduction for ransom.
The number of reported missing people is increasing across the state, City News further reports.
