Housewife Raped To Death In Ondo
A middle-aged housewife, identified as Mrs Roseline Joguntan, has been gang raped and killed in her family farm by some yet to be identified assailants.
The sad incident occurred at the weekend in Igbokoda, Ilaje Local Government area of Ondo state.
It was gathered that the deceased, a fruit seller, as usual, went to the farm to gather fruits for her business on the fateful day with one of her children, but met her untimely death.

According to a source, “after gathering the first basket of the fruits, she told her child to take it home. It was when the girl came back that she noticed that her mother was missing before she was later found dead in the bush.’’
The case was said to have been reported to the police by the deceased husband, Mr Joguntan .
Spokesperson for the Ondo state police command, DSP Funmilayo Odunlami, said the deceased’s husband repotted that he could not reach his wife on phone and then went to the farm to check on her but found her lifeless body.
According to the residents of the area, the woman was gang-raped and killed by unknown gunmen.
City News reports that the corpse of the deceased has since been deposited at the mortuary.
