The Network of Civil Society Organizations Borno State (NECSOB) has expressed worry over the death of a resident of Maiduguri, Fatima Muhammad, who was raped and subsequently killed by the alleged rapist.

The alleged rapist has since been arrested by the Police.

This was contained in a statement released by the group’s Executive Director, Comrade Bulama Abiso, while commiserating with the family of the victim.

He assured the family of Fatima of the commitment of NECSOB to ensure that thorough investigation takes place and justice is done.

“The Network calls on the good people of Borno state to remain calm as necessary support has been given to the stakeholders to handle the case with justice and fairness, and we are not calling for any protest for now,” he said
