Sequel to this development, people that engage in petty trading such as selling of sugar cane, fruits, vegetables, akara, tea and bread, petrol and engine oils, meat and fish, and a host of other items, are now roaming the streets, day and night, owing to the provision of these solar street lights.
In addition, craftsmen including; cap and cloth weavers, vulcanizers, barbers and tailors are equally benefitting from these developmental projects.
Subsequently, Nupe Center discovered that business activities in these areas increased by almost 100 percent.
In a related development, the massive trading activities have led to increase in jobs’ availability, hence reducing crime rates.
However, it is pertinent to call the attention of the lawmaker towards extending this similar gesture to other communities in order to have uniform economic growth as well as improvement in the security situation of his constituency.
In essence, other stakeholders, well-meaning individuals and groups should as a matter of patriotism follow suit in emulating Hon. Saidu Musa Abdul.
