How to Tackle Insecurity in Niger State
Niger state has been plagued by insecurity and other organized crimes like Boko Haram, banditry, kidnapping, and armed robbery.
Sharing borders with some Northern States, Niger’s thick forests have become den of bandits and other notorious criminals.
Many innocent residents of the State have lost their lives, with properties destroyed, as a result of violent attacks carried out in various parts of the State.
Last year, the State Government raised an alarm of Boko Haram terrorists invading the State.
Aside terrorist elements, other criminals are holding the State to ransom.

Community engagement: People should be engaged in finding solutions to insecurity by feeding relevant authorities with vital information about strange things in their communities.
Having an early warning centre: This center will monitor and accurately help to predict the outbreak of crises.
Youth empowerment: This is key in fostering societal development as youths are the instruments of national growth and development.
If these points highlighted above are considered by relevant authorities, insecurity will soon become history in Niger, which will then engender peace and foster socio-economic growth.
