Pantami Welcomes Ivorian President, Ouattara, for ECOWAS Meeting
Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Ali Ibrahim Pantami, have received Mr. Alassane Ouattara, President of Ivory Coast.
Ouattara, who is in Abuja, for the 60th Extra Ordinary Session of ECOWAS Authority of Heads of State, was received by Pantami, on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari, a statement by Uwa Suleiman, Spokesperson to the Communications Minister, revealed.
Part of the statement reads: “His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari GCFR, the Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy Nigeria, Professor Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami) FNCS, FBCS, FIIM, MCPN is pleased to welcome the President of the Republic of Ivory Coast, His Excellency Alassane Ouattara to the 60th extraordinary session of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Authority Heads of State, holding in the nation’s capital Abuja.

“As Nigeria stands tall and proud to play host to leaders in the sub region, it is with utmost sense of duty that the Honourable Minister chaperones His Excellency at this epoch-making session of ECOWAS on behalf of the Federal Government as assigned by the President.
“In the same vein, the Honourable Minister on behalf of the President and the entire people of Nigeria, extends our sincere congratulations to the President and people of Ivory Coast on the historic building of its new Chancellery in Nigeria’s capital.
