Road accident claims 7 in Ebonyi
Seven passengers have been confirmed dead in a ghastly road accident at Amasiri on Afikpo-Okigwe Highway in Ebonyi State.
Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr Anthony Okorie confirmed the accident, saying it involved a Sienna bus and a truck laden with stones.

He said the vehicles had a head-on collusion when the truck driver impatiently swerved to the lane of the bus
Both drivers survived the accident.
A source said about two other victims of the auto crash, who were in critical condition, were rushed to the hospital.
“Seven persons died on the spot. The two vehicles collided at a bend at the Ihere stream and six of the passengers died instantly,” he said.
