Community mourns as gunmen kill DSS operative in Imo
Some gunmen allegedly murdered an official of the Department of State Services, Ezeonye OOzuzu,on Monday along Owerri-Onitsha Expressway.
Ozuzu hailed from Irrete in the Owerri West Local Government Area of the state. He was married with three children.
His cousin, Dan Opara, who confirmed the death of the officer to PUNCH correspondent on Tuesday, said that his community was in a mourning mood.
Opara, a journalist, said the victim’s colleagues had taken corpse from the crime scene and had deposited it in a morgue.
Another source said that the victim was shot three times.
When contacted, the police spokesperson, Micheal Abattam, advised our correspondent to reach out to the DSS in the state.
