Police neutralizes notorious Armed robber in Imo
A suspected notorious leader of an armed robbery gang has been shot dead in a gun duel with the police at Nsu community in Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.
The suspect, popularly known as “Bugatti” whose gang had been terrorising the Nsu community, was killed following the information received by the Vigilante group of Nsu Community on Friday around 2.20 pm.
Confirming the incident on Saturday, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Michael Abattam said one of the notorious leaders of the armed robbery gang on the wanted list of the community was killed during gun exchange with the police.

He said the community’s vigilante group, which has been working in synergy with the police, immediately alerted the patrol team.
The team, he said, moved to where the suspect and his gang were hiding in the bush.
On sighting the security men, he said: “They opened fire and during the gun duel, the gang leader of the group, “Bugatti ” was neutralised and his Revolver Pistol recovered to the station while the other two suspects escaped with bullet wounds.”
He added: “When the Revolver Pistol was checked, it was discovered that, it was one of the police Revolver Pistol that was carted away during the #ENDSARS saga when the Police Area Command Headquarters at Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo State was attacked by hoodlums.”
He said efforts were on to arrest the two suspects who escaped with bullets wounds and other members of the gang in hiding.
