5 die in fresh Kaduna attack, homes, vehicle torched
Five persons have been killed and nine houses burnt in a fresh attack at Madamai village in Kaura council area of Kaduna State by unidentified hoodlums. A vehicle was also vandalised in the process.
The Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, in a statement yesterday, said Acting Governor Hadiza Balarabe had condemned the violence and appealed for calm.

“The deceased have been identified as follows: Janet Yakubu, Gambo Yakubu, Jonathan Adamu, Mrs. Monday and Humphrey Barnabas,” he added.
IN a related development, the state police command confirmed the killing of unspecified number of farmers abducted at Buruku and Udawa villages in Chikun Local Council of the state by bandits.
The victims were seized in their farms over a month ago.
The police spokesman in the state, Mohammed Jalige, explained that the bodies of some of the victims were discovered at the weekend.
