PRNigeria Keeping Nigerians Abreast on Security, Defence Matters–Femi Adesina
The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Mr. President, Femi Adesina, has lauded the steadfastness of PRNigeria in ‘accurately, objectively, and constantly’ disseminating information on security and defence matters to the general public.
Aside been the pioneer Press Release distribution agency in the country, PRNigeria is an independent but authoritative military covert media outlet.
Mr. Adesina, gave the commendation in an Op-ed article titled, “See How They’re Being Sent to God to Answer for Their Crimes”, which was widely circulated on the social media, on Thursday.
According to the presidential spokesperson, through the reportage of PRNigeria, citizens have been kept abreast with what is happening, particularly on security and defence matters.
Painting a graphic picture of how the Buhari administration is prosecuting the anti-terrorism/banditry war, he cited some stories published by PRNigeria, highlighting the military and other security agencies’ strides, in tackling the criminals holding the country to ransom.
He said Boko Haram terrorists and armed bandits are been sent to God to answer for their crimes, indicating that many ‘great things’ are happening in addressing insecurity.
Adesina, said it confounds and ‘often’ amazes him hearing some people asking President Muhammadu Buhari to go after Boko Haram fighters and bandits, with the same gusto he has displayed against separatists in the country.
He however, said what Mr. President does daily in the North-east, North-west, and North-central parts of the country, where terrorists and bandits abound, is to eliminate them.
He enumerated some exclusive stories, on troops’ combat feats, published on PRNigeria news site, saying: “On January 7, 2021, PR Nigeria reported: ‘Nigerian troops eliminate 30 terrorists in an ambush..’ This happened at the Timbuktu Triangle, along Kara and Gorigori axis of Borno State.
“Ten days later, on January 17, this was the despatch: ‘Air troops hit Boko Haram convoys, kill many terrorists in Marte.’ According to the report, scores of terrorists were neutralized in their bid to attack Marte, in Borno State.

“On February 23, Marte was in the news again, after the terrorists had launched an attack, seizing the town temporarily: ‘Nigerian troops recover Marte, scores of terrorists killed.’
