In Oyo, Village Head, Wife Regain Freedom
EMERGENCY DIGEST- The kidnapped, Baale of Araromi village in Bakatari area of Ibadan, Chief Tafa Apapan, has regained freedom.
It was gathered that Baale Apanpa and his wife were set free by the kidnappers after allegedly collecting N2 million ransom.

The Olomi of Omi Adio, a leading community in Ido local government area of Oyo state, Chief MKO Adebayo, on Friday confirmed the release of the Baale and his wife.
Chief Adebayo said the village head and his wife were released Thursday night, adding that, “They have been released; the Baale and his wife have been released. They were released yesterday night.”
Commenting, the state police public relations officer (PPRO), DSP Adewale Osifeso, said, “The victims were released at 1500hrs yesterday, Thursday, 24th of June, 2021, as a result of consistent pressure mounted on the abductors by the police, local hunters and vigilantes. Efforts are still on-going to apprehend the abductors. He said.
