Cultists, Armed Robbers, Other Criminals Paraded–Oyo Police Command
EMERGENCY DIGEST- Oyo State Police Command has on Thursday paraded no fewer than Seven suspected criminals for allegedly involved in crimes ranging from arm robbery, cultism, obtained money under false pretense among others.
The development according to a press release made available to journalists in Ibadan the Capital City of Oyo State was in line with the recent breakthrough in crime fighting by Police officers of the State Command, under the able watch of CP. Ngozi Onadeko.
The copy of the statement issued and signed by the state Police Public Relation Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police Adewale Osifeso made available to news men stated that the suspects were arrested consequent upon the receipt of complaints from the members of the public about the rising cases of kidnapping, armed robbery and other armed related vices.
The statement maintained that upon received the Information CP. Onadeko swiftly deployed strategic security apparatus in-line with standard practices which has undoubtedly resulted in the successes showcased today.
One Oluwanisola Quadri A.K.A Quatar age 28, and his accomplice Olapade Oladimeji ‘m’A.K.A dejavu ‘m’ age 30 were paraded for allegedly involvement in armed robbery and cultism activities and were said to have been terrorizing students of Ladoke Akintola University (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso by invaded students hostel at Under -G area of Ogbomoso.
The notorious Cultists cum armed robbers while armed with Guns, Jack Knives and some other dangerous weapon attacked one of the students who identified himself as Bode, dispossessed of his “I Phone” and also siphoned a cash sum of one Million Naira from his account.

The hoodlums also attacked some other students of the institution and dispossessed them of their expensive cell phones, cash and other valuable items.
Emboldened by their previous actions the continued in a spree until the long arm of the law caught up with them in May 2021 along Ogbomosho axis in a deliberately planned operation by operatives of the Command’s Monitoring Unit in collaboration with local vigilantes and hunters. Active investigations are ongoing to crackdown members of the criminal gang.
Exhibits recovered from the suspects are, One Iphone X Max, One Infinix Cell Phone, Two syringes with needle, One First bank ATM card, some quantities of Hard Drugs.
In a similar situation, three suspected criminals specialized in armed robbery and snatching bikes from unsuspecting innocent members of the public were also paraded.
The development according to the statement maintained that on 28th May, 2021 at about 1300hrs, three notorious hoodlums armed with Guns and other dangerous weapons invaded the residence of one Ben Ama ‘m’ at Oke-Seni area of Ibadan.
The victim was disposed off his cell phone, a set of home theater and one Zenith Bank ATM which was used to withdraw a total sum of Five hundred and seventy-two thousand naira only (#572,000.00) at a Point of Sales shop within the community while being held hostage in his abode at gun point.
Discreet investigation by operatives of the Command’s Monitoring Unit led to the arrest of Akeem Ishola ‘m’ and Mutahiru Animasaun ‘m’ in connection with the crime. Upon interrogation, one Sherif Salawu ‘m’ a co-worker with the victim confessed to have masterminding the plot along with his cohorts through confessional statement. Investigation is still in progress to unravel more circumstances behind the incidence.
The suspects are Akeem Ishola aged 49,
Mutahiru Animasaun, 37, Sheriff Salawu, 37. While exhibits recovered from them are Cash sum of Forty-four thousand naira (#44,000.00).
