Military’s relentlessness forcing terrorists, bandits to surrender–NAP
The Nigerian Advocates for Peace (NAP) has lauded ongoing joint military operations across the country.
It described them as timely.
This is just as the Kaduna-based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, said several Boko Haram Commanders and bandits are now willing to surrender.
A development, NAP maintained is an indication of the relentless determination of Nigerian military troops to restore peace, in the country.
The civil society organisation, in a press release, also hailed the capture of a wanted bandits’ Chief, Jack Bros Yellow, who was recently arrested at a forest between Shiroro and Rafi local governments in Niger State.

The group also noted how Operation Hadin Kai’s offensive led to the bombardment of some Boko Haram fighters in a gathering at Dawuri village in Borno State, with several casualties on the part of the insurgents.
NAP, in the press release signed by its Convener, Dotun Akindele, further said the military is engaged in restoring peace to restive communities in the South.
Akindele said: “The arrest of Jack Bros Yellow has significantly decreased the criminal activities of bandits. In response to his arrest, members of the gangs have gone into hiding.
“In the South, the AFN is actively engaged in a determined effort to bring to an end all forms of criminality. It is a huge sacrifice on the part of personnel of the AFN.
“NAP, therefore, appeals to Nigerians to support the military at this very crucial time.”
