Young Lawyers’ Forum Opens Brand New Secretariat in Ilorin
The Young Lawyers’ Forum (YLF), a youth arm of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Ilorin branch, has commissioned its bar Secretariat.
The newly-built secretariat was unveiled by the NBA Chairman of Ilorin, AbdulGaniy Bello.
Bello, expressed delight opening the office, assuring that he will do more for the YLF.
“I and my executives will ensure that YLF Ilorin is the envy of other branches of YLF in Nigeria. My adminstration has already provided a grant of N100,000 for the running of NBA – YLF Ilorin. We will definitely do more,” he said.
Pioneer Chairman of the Forum, Mr. J. S. Muhammad, who is currently the Secretary of the Ilorin NBA, could not contain his joy over the ‘refreshing’ development.
“Honestly, I must state that the YLF Chairman, G. O. Osagbemi, Esq., has done tremendously well, by ensuring that this project which has been a long-time ambition happened during his tenure. I pray that YLF ILORIN moves from height to height,” Muhammad said.

Mr. John Mayokun Dada, Esq., a founding member of the Ilorin YLF, while delivering his remark, said, “I cannot hide my happiness. When the YLF started around 2015, we were the first set of members. But now I would want to state that it is a thing of joy to see that the Forum has grown in leaps and bounds, especially under the current Chairman who has performed tremendously well to the admiration of lawyers even as far as Abuja.”
Also, a former Chairman of YLF, O. D Jimoh, Esq., in a goodwill remark, noted: “My administration made efforts to get an office space for the Forum, but due to some issues, we could not get it. I am particularly happy that this administration was able to thanks to the dynamic and result-oriented leadership of G.O. Osagbemi.”
Osagbemi, on his part, appreciated guests at the event. According to him, commissioning their secretariat is one of the laudable feats achieved by his administration.
“We have recorded modest achievements without publicity, but this one is such that must be done in the open, because members of the public who consult us for pro bono legal services can now access us in our office,” he said.
He thanked his fellow executives and other YLF members for their love, cooperation and support.
