A Day After Christmas, Boko Haram Attacks 3 Villages In Borno

Suspected Boko Haram insurgents are on the rampage in three communities of Hawul Local Government Area of Borno State, on Saturday’s evening

It was learnt that the invaders came in their dozens to lunch a coordinated attack on Tashan Allade, Shaffa and Khiributu villages in Hawul Local Government Area, on a day after Chrismas Day.

Hundreds of the villagers have fled their homes as the attackers continue to shoot sporadically.

The fleeing villagers are said to be taking refugee in the nearby bushes.

According to a vigilante source, the attackers have razed down two EYN churches in Tashan Allade as the villagers fled into the bushes.

Another member of the civilian JTF, Balami Yusuf, disclosed that the insurgents are currently raining bullets on Shaffa and Khiributu villages respectively.

“As I am speaking to you, they are shooting.  You can hear from the background.

“We are in the bushes and people are running and children are crying. We are helpless,” Balami lamented.

It can be recalled that insurgents had attacked Garkida village in Adamawa State bordering Hawul LGA on Christmas Eve, killing at least six people and burning down houses.
