Former army spokesperson, 59 others bags IOARM fellowship
Former Army spokesperson, Brig. Gen. Sani Kukasheka Usman and 8 other persons have been conferred with Distinguished. Fellow of the Institute of Organizational and Administrative Risk Management of Nigeria.
51 other people were also conferred with Fellow of the institute during the induction of new members at the Nigerian Army Resource centre Abuja.
Usman was the immediate past Director of Army Public Relations who constributed to the development of effective Public Realtions practice in the military. The Distinguished Fellowship was in recognition of his experience and contribution to Risk Management at the top level of administration.
Speaking at the induction ceremony, the Chairman, Governing Council of IOARM, Prof. Babatunde Rabiu, said the present global system was getting riskier than ever, hence global system “needs acute administrative skills to manage risk-laden multi-structure that has been identified with it in this present dispensation.”

“Today’s challenges are quite digital and obviously monstrous when compare with times past, ” Rabiu said. “New challenges come with new technologies. Endemic corruption has found expressway to our mentality, financial system and moral values. The entire system is plagued with terrific and fragile risk which surely needs concerted and multiple approach to manage.”
He said not all risks are negative, some are positive and are catalyst for advancement which must be “identified, managed, optimised and transformed to agents of development.”
“The Institute is poised to surmount the present challenges and ensure that a new breed of administrators and managers evolved who would be capable of controlling and minimising risks in all sectors of our systems, ” he said.
138 persons into its various categories of membership during its third induction and capacity building programme, this include: nine Distinguished Fellows, 51 Fellows, 11 Senior Members, 36 Full Members, 23 Associate Members, six Graduate Members and two Student Members.
Among those inducted as Distinguished Fellows categories were Senator Ibrahim Hassan Hadeija; Major General Jide Jeelel Ogunlade, Executive Director Consult at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre; Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman (rtd), former Director of Army Public Relations; Elder Ade Alemi and Adeyemi Ademola Edward, amongst others.
