Nigeria@60: We Must Prioritize Youth Development, Assets’ Recovery – Rafsanjani
The Executive Director of CISLAC, Mr. Auwal Rafsanjani, has called for the restrategising of the national policies towards priotising youth development and transparency in assets recovery.
Mr Rafsanjani, who made the call in a statement marking Nigeria’s 60th Independence Anniversary on Thursday, stressed the need for the youths to be equipped with requisite skills for them to contribute their quota towards the socio-economic growth of the nation.
According to him, the Diamond Jubilee anniversary portends many greater things for the country.
Speaking on the significance of the celebration, Mr Rafsanjani noted that this should be a period for sober reflection for Nigeria.
“Nigeria should have a deep reflection on the day and challenges it has faced as a country,” said the CISLAC boss.

He, therefore, tasked policymakers on youths inclusion in governance, saying: “It is important that our youths form our policies basis. Again, youths’ development will help us sustain the current values of the country and future prospects.”
Mr Rafsanjani further stressed the need for assets recovery process to be made more transparent and proactive, in a bid to fight corruption in the country.
While noting that any country that doesn’t take fighting corruption seriously may not live up its full potentials, the CISLAC helmsman stated that, “the efforts to develop the country must revolve around accountability and Transparency, we must begin to ensure that recovered assets are not re-looted again; thus encouraging national development.”
Mr Rafsanjani emphasized the need for anti-corruption-friendly laws in the country, noting that CISLAC remains committed to the growth of Nigeria and growth of values that define the country.
