‘Accord’ Troops Eliminate 2 Bandits at Kajuru

Troops of Operation Accord, in conjunction with local vigilantes, together with close air support have conducted a search and rescue operation at Dajin Kajuru, killing two bandits.

A statement issued by the Defence Media Headquarters (DMO), said in the course of the clearance operation, at Dajin Kajuru, in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, troops made contact with armed bandits.

But after a fierce encounter, Maj. Gen. John Enenche, who issued the statement, said two armed bandits were neutralised, while uncomfirmed number escaped with gun shots wounds.

Enenche added that, “During the exploitation by the gallant troops, two magazines, 36 rounds of 7.62mm Special ammunition and two motorcycle were recovered.”

In the same vein, following credible intelligence on the criminal elements who escaped from the onslaught earlier, Maj. Gen. Enenche, Coordinator of the DMO, said troops apprehended three of the criminal elements in Kujeni village.

He added that troops are currently dominating the area with aggressive patrols to deny the criminal elements freedom of action.

“The Military High Command commends the gallant troops for their dexterity and encourages them to intensify the onslaught against the enemies of our country. The general public is thus encouraged to continue providing credible information to the troops operating within their localities,” Enenche noted.
