Newly-Inducted Troops Eliminate 46 Bandits in Katsina
After receiving a distress call on the invasion of Yar Gamji town in Batsari LGA of Katsina State by armed bandits, troops of Nigerian Army Super Camp 4 Faskari, deployed for Operation Sahel Sanity, swiftly stormed the town, killing 46 of them.
A statement by the Defence Media Operations (DMO), on Wednesday, indicated that the troops, who were just inducted into the newly-launched operation responded promptly to the call.

According to the statement signed by the Coordinator of DMO, Maj. Gen. John Enenche, the troops engaged the criminals thereby neutralized 46 bandits in the encounter while others escaped with gunshot wounds.
It added that troops of Operation Sahel Sanity are presently in exploitation phase and have dominated the general area with aggressive patrols.
The DMO, urged the general public to disregard news making the rounds in some online media giving unsubstantiated and false information on the incident.
It was gathered that the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusufu Buratai, has already congratulated the troops for their swift response and gallantry.
