In Air Raid, Troops’ Fighter Jets Destroy Insurgents’ Logistics Base
Troops of the Nigerian Armed Forces have destroyed another logistics base of Boko Haram Terrorists at Ngoske, in the fringes of Sambisa forest, in Borno State.
It was gathered that the troops, who belong to the air component of Operation LAFIYA DOLE in a subsidiary operation called DECISIVE EDGE, conducted the air strikes on Monday.
This followed credible intelligence reports, indicating the existence of some structures within the settlements used by the terrorists to store their arms and other logistics items.
In a statement signed by Brig. Gen. Bernard Onyeuko, Acting Director of the Directorate of Defence Media Operations (DDMO), Nigerian military fighter jets were dispatched to attack the location following confirmatory Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions, which showed significant activity in the settlement.
“The jets’ bombs and rockets recorded accurate hits on target leading to the destruction of the base, as well as the neutralization of some Boko Haram fighters,” part of the statement reads.
