Boko Haram Killings:  Buhari, Service Chiefs will not escape divine justice – Dr. Idris Ahmed

A United Kingdom-based cybersecurity expert, Dr. Idris Ahmed, said that President Muhammadu and his Service Chiefs will not escape divine justice over the persistent killings of Nigerians by insurgents, bandits and other criminals.

A Cryptologist and Cybersecurity Lead Engineer at an automobile industry is the founder of anti-corruption and human rights organization called Citizens United for Peace and Security (CUPS).

Emergency Digest gathered that Dr. Idris was a fanatical supporter of General Muhammadu Buhari before and immediately after 2015 elections and later defending the military chiefs, especially General Tukuru Buratai.
The former lecturer at Coventry University in the United Kingdom (UK) expressed his utter disappointment and betrayal of the government over security situations in Nigeria.

Reacting to the deadly attack on harmless travelers at Auno village, in Borno by some Boko Haram terrorists, in a series of post on his Facebook, Ahmed wrote that Almighty God will surely question and firmly hold Buhari and his military generals accountable in “this world and the hereafter” over the incessant killings of citizens and pervasive insecurity across the land.

He added that only God will save innocent Nigerians, who are now at the mercy of blood-thirsty criminal terrorists, while political leadership and the military chiefs would be held accountable.

He said: “We would not forgive them, both in this world and the hereafter.”

A former post-doctoral research scientist at Athlone Institute of Technology, Dr. Ahmed wondered if President Buhari and his Service Chiefs would have remained docile and keep mute if those massacred in Auno, were their relatives.

“I’m sure Mr. President will hurriedly have departed Addis Ababa, where he went for a diplomatic trip, had it been those ‘slaughtered’ at Auno village were his people. He would, I am sure, quickly return to Nigeria, and take concrete actions,” he said.

In other posts he wrote thus: “The town of Auno, which is just 14 kilometres away from Maiduguri, was nearly wiped out by Boko Haram terrorists… There was no intervention by the Nigerian military to stop the carnage. This … Commander in Chief of the … armed forces and his equally …… military generals have a lot to answer for in this world and in the hereafter!

“This is the absolute carnage that the Boko Haram terror barbarians left behind in Auno. This is about the annihilation of our people followed by the occupation of our land. To President Muhammadu Buhari and his military generals, I say that the Almighty Allah will hold you firmly to account in this world and in the hereafter.

“He is retired, tired, and ….  ineffective with security. The … old man might as well resign and proceed to Daura, from Addis Ababa!

Emergency Digest gathered that Dr Ahmed, had on several occasions, turned down the offer to work in government as seasoned security and intelligent expert.
