Amotekun: ‘Come and make the arrests’ – Afenifere dares Miyetti Allah

Sequel to the statement by the leader of Miyetti Allah Kautal hore, Bello Abdullah Bodejo on Friday calling on the federal government to arrest Yoruba leaders sponsoring Operation Amotekun, Afenifere has responded daring the herders group to come for the arrest.

The Fulani herdsmen association had previously dared South-westerners to end thier ambition towards 2023 presidency if the region continues with it’s security outfit, Operation Amotekun.

It also urged the Federal Government to arrest any member of the group operating under the outfit.

However, early Saturday morning, the spokesperson of the Yoruba socio-cultural group, Yinka Odumakin, suggested to Bello to come for the arrest.

In Odumakin’s words; “If herdsmen are the criminals in the Southwest, then, we have to drive them away; if they are the troublers of the Southwest, if they are the ones poaching and raping our women, if they are the ones who killed Fasoranti’s daughter, then there is the need to drive them out. They will be driven out either by Amoketun or by something else because we need peace in our land; we have not gone to their land to kill them or to kidnap them”.

“As for his call on the federal government to arrest the leaders of Amotekun, we dare them to come and do it. The last time they tested the will of Yoruba people was over the June 12 presidential election, and Nigeria was at war. It was that battle that drove the military away, so we are waiting for them with all pleasures to come and arrest them.”

Before this latest reaction, Afenifere had on Thursday described as insolent comments by the Miyetti Allah group over it’s stand on Operation Amotekun.
