Army Department holds social media seminar in Lagos
The Department of Civil-Military Affairs of the Nigerian Army Headquarters is currently organizing a capacity-building seminar on social media use in Lagos.
The event is themed: “Role of social media in aid of Nigerian Army’s non-kinetic approach for enhanced peace and security in Nigeria”.
The seminar, which is taking place at the Best Western Hotel, in Victoria Island, is a special edition as it has been previously held across the six geo-political zones of the country.

The event had in attendance the CCMA, Maj. Gen. US Mohammed, the Dir Info Mgt AHQ DCMA Brig. Gen. AA Goni, and Dir Psyops AHQ DCMA Brig. Gen. EA Aladeniyi, as well as Brig Gen GS Abdullahi from the Defence Headquarters Department of Communication.
Also in attendance were HRDO, as well as participants drawn from various student groups, NGOs, CSOs and members of some pressure groups.
Others are academics from tertiary institutions, and journalists from conventional media, as well as social media influencers.
About 100 participants turned up for the event.
