Yellow Fever kills kidnap kingpin Alhaji TK, 11 others
A notorious kidnap kingpin, simply known as Alhaji T.K and 11 other ring leaders terrorising Katsina and Zamfara axis have died in suspected Yellow Fever attack within one week.
DAILY NIGERIAN gathered that Alhaji T.K had controlled over 200 bandits operating in a forest stretching from Birnin Gwari, Sabuwa, Faskari, Danmusa, Jibiya down to Niger Republic.
There had been outbreak of Yellow Fever in some Northern states, killing dozens in Bauchi and Kano states as confirmed by the National Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.
Credible sources said the 32-year-old Alhaji T.K and other gang leaders died after taking ill of a strange disease suspected to be Yellow Fever.
The source also disclosed that one of the ringleaders, Alhaji Auta, who was a 45-year-old, died with his wife and two children.
“At a community meeting two days ago, we counted 12 notorious bandits that died in just one week.

“Although local health workers believed they died of Yellow Fever, we attributed the death to the power of our prayers,” a resident of Kaiga, Rabe Kabir, said.
It was gathered that there was celebration galore among residents in places like Kaiga Malamai, Dufa Dan Kamtsa, Dufan Mato, Lailaito and Dandire villages at the weekend as news of their death filtered in.
Although Alhaji T.K was key to the past and recent negotiations with both Zamfara and Katsina State governments, insiders said he never gave up banditry and kidnapping till death.
It was gathered that his house was built by the immediate past administration in Zamfara State.
The house, located at Ajjah Village, a border village in Zamfara State, was furnished and equipped with a solar-powered water system by the state government.
An inside source in the village said the government also built a clinic and school for Alhaji T.K.
“Alhaji T.K was very rich and powerful. He bought a G3 gun with 11 hand grenades despite the peace deal with Zamfara and Katsina State governments. In fact, he took the delivery of these arms five days to his death,” the source said.
