Gunmen storm bar in Kwara, abduct 4 Turkish citizens

Four Turkish expatriates have been reportedly kidnapped after a six-man armed gang stormed a local drinking joint in Gbale village, Edu local government area of Kwara state.

The Nigerian Tribune reports that the incident occurred late Saturday, July 20, while the expatriates, who work in a construction firm were having fun.

The report disclosed the identities of the victims as Yasin Colak (33), Senerapal (40), Ergun Yurdakul (35) and Seyit Keklik (25).

The incident was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), Ajayi Okasanmi, in Kwara state.

Okasanmi also said that the police commissioner in the state, Kayode Egbetokun, had dispatched various teams under the operation Puff Adder to adjourning areas with a mandate to commence investigation and rescue of the expatriates alive.

Apart from the directives, the police commissioner also instructed the teams to ensure the arrest of the suspected hoodlums.
