Man slits friend’s throat to snatch his motorcycle in Jigawa
The Jigawa state police command has arrested a 30-year-old man, Sale Shanono of Doguwa village in Jahun local government area for allegedly slitting his friend’s throat.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the State, SP Abdu Jinjiri, confirmed the news to DAILY POST in Dutse.
He stated that a report was received by the police in Jahun on Monday at about 2000hrs that one Yakubu Amadu of 30yrs of Dogawa Jahun local government carried his friend one Sale Shanono 30yrs on his boxer motorcycle to join him to his in-law’s house to help reconcile him with his wife.

He explained that on getting to a bush along the way, the said passenger, Sale Shanono, used a knife and cut the throat of the owner of the motorcycle in an attempt to snatch his boxer motorcycle.
Audu Jinjiri said the victim narrowly escaped death but survived with grievous hurt on his throat.
He said the suspect then took away the motorcycle thinking that his victim has passed away.
Jinjiri said on receiving the report, policemen proceeded to the scene and the victim was taken to Jahun hospital for treatment.
The suspect was arrested as the motorcycle was recovered. The case is still under investigation, after which the suspect will be charged to court.
