2019 Elections: Police to deploy 4,452 personnel in Nasarawa State
The Police Command in Nasarawa state said it would deploy 4,452 personnel for the conduct of the general elections in Nasarawa state.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Bola Longe made this known while addressing newsmen on Tuesday in Lafia.
Longe said the personnel to be deployed across all the Local Government Areas, would be complimented by personnel from other security agencies in the state.
“We want to assure all law abiding citizens in the state that we are ready to provide the much needed security for the conduct of the general elections.

“We also want to warn all those who may want to foment trouble during these elections to desist as we have the will, training, capacity and the backing of the law to checkmate them.
“We will not hesitate to deal with any person or group of persons that may want to cause security breaches before, during and after the elections in the state,” Longe added.
He said that all the security agencies in the state have put in place an impregnable security deployment to thwart any criminal agenda to mar the polls.
The commissioner also reiterated his determination to tackle the menace of armed robbery, kidnapping and other crimes in the state.
He, therefore, called for the cooperation of the people in order to effectively police the state and rid it of criminal elements.
