Police urges Katsina residents to provide useful information
The Katsina State Police Command, has urged residents and traditional leaders to provide the police with ‘timely vital information’ to assist the command rid the state of all forms of criminality.
Mr Sanusi Buba, the newly posted state Commissioner of Police, disclosed this on Monday, at a press briefing.
“I am soliciting for the support and cooperation of traditional leaders and the general public by giving us useful and timely information on cattle rustling, kidnapping, armed banditry and other crimes.
“Our mission is to make the state crime-free, so as to create conducive environment for business and economic activities to thrive, “ he said.

He said that he would build up on the existing synergy among sister security organisations operating in the state.
Buba revealed that the police would continue to work under the ambit of the country’s constitution.
He said that the command would continue to deploy community policing as strategy to reduce crime rate in the state.
Buba also promised that the police would remain apolitical, neutral and professional, before, during and after the Feb 16, and March 2, 2019 elections.
‘’I have come with tremendous goodwill, open mind, willingness to work and partner with Katsina residents to ensure we make it safer, more secure, better and prosperous, “ he said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), reports that the commissioner, Sanusi Buba was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in 1990 as cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police.
