Gunmen kill leader of LGA legislative Assembly in Rivers
Unknown gunmen Thursday night shot dead the Leader of Ahoada West Local Government Area Legislstive Assembly, Hon Ekele Chikobi.
Hon. Chikobi who until his death was the Chairman of Mobilization Sub-Committe of 2019 PDP Campaign Council in Ahoada West Local Government Area lost his life when unknown gunmen ambushed a bus carrying him along East west road as he was returning from campaign.

Eye witness account had it that the gunmen suspected to be kidnappers operating along Elele/East west road ambushed and riddled the bus conveying the deceased and others with bullets.
The witness said the leader of Legislative Council died on the spot while other occupants of the Vehicle sustained various degrees of injuries.
He said the whereabouts of the other occupants of the Vehicle that fled from the Vehicle are still unknown.
Rivers State Police Command Public Relation Officer, DSP Nnamdi Omoni could not confirm the story as of the time of filling the report.
