Police Arrest Killers of Alex Badeh, other Criminal Gangs

UPDATE ON SUSPECTS ARRESTED FOR ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN THE KILLING OF FORMER, CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF, AIR CHIEF MARSHAL ALEX BADEH AND PARADE OF VICIOUS AND NOTORIOUS ARMED ROBBERY, CAR SNATCHING AND BURGLARY SYNDICATES THAT SPECIALIZE IN CAR SNATCHING AT GUN POINT AND STEALING OF VEHICLES WHERE PARKED IN ABUJA, KADUNA, KANO AND EDO STATES BY THE FORCE PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER, Ag. DCP JIMOH MOSHOOD AT THE FORCE HEADQUARTERS, ABUJA. 27th DECEMBER, 2018.

CASE 1
SUSPECTS ARRESTED FOR ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN THE KILLING OF FORMER, CHIEF OF DEFENCE STAFF, AIR CHIEF MARSHAL ALEX BADEH
On the directive of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. Idris NPM, mni, the Joint Police Investigation Team (IGP INTELLIGENCE RESPONSE TEAM and the SPECIAL TACTICAL SQUAD) setup by the IGP and mandated to within the shortest possible time to arrest all those responsible for the killing of the former, Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh on the 18th December, 2018 in Nasarawa State arrested Two (2) principal suspects who participated in the killing of the former, Chief of Defence Staff on 18th December, 2018, and three (3) other suspects in connection with the heinous crime. They are now in Police custody undergoing investigation.

ii. The investigation into the killing of the former, Chief of Defence Staff is being intensified to arrest other suspects still at large.

iii. The parade of the two (2) principal suspects and the three (3) other gang members now in Police custody will not come up today so as not to jeopardize the on-going investigation.

iv. All the suspects will be paraded before the media and the public on completion of investigation into the matter.

v. The Nigeria Police Force will not relent nor leave any stone unturned in getting to the root of the killing and bring all perpetrators to justice.

CASE 2
CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, ARMED ROBBERY GANG AND CAR SNATCHING
SUSPECTS:
i. Zaka John ‘m’ 27yrs
ii. Austine Samari ‘m’ 34yrs

On the 19th of December, 2018 at about 1000hrs, intelligence was gathered by the IGP Special Tactical Squad on Kidnapping and other violent crimes, that a gang of car snatchers used a location in Kwali Area Council as their criminal hideouts where they keep stolen vehicles robbed at gun point from innocent members of the public and some of the vehicles stolen where parked.

ii. Consequently, Operatives of the IGP Special Tactical Squad on Kidnapping and other violent crimes swung into action and stormed the identified hideout and arrested the above suspects, Zaka John, Austine Samari and all the above listed vehicles were recovered from them.

iii. Investigation is being intensified to arrest other members of the gang still at large. They will charged to court on completion of investigation

CASE 3
ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY AND CAR SNATCHING SYNDICATE
SUSPECTS:

i. Sadiq Abbani ‘m’ 32yrs
ii. Bukur Abanni ‘m’ 15yrs
iii. Abdullahi Abdulhamid ‘m’ 19yrs
iv. Mamud Bawa ‘m’ 16yrs

On 20th December, 2018, one Sadiq Abbani was arrested in the act of negotiating for a buyer for a Toyota Avensis Car with Reg. No Abuja RSH 543 CL, 2010 model in Zaria, Kaduna State.

ii. He was arrested by the Police operatives and he confessed that the car was stolen by one of his brothers Bukar Abbani and his friend Abdullahi Abdulhamid and given to him to sell for them.

iii. Further investigation into the matter revealed that the vehicle was reported to have been snatched at gun point. The interrogation by the Police team led to the arrest of the other three (3) members of the gang, Bukur Abanni, Abdullahi Abdulhamid, Mamud Bawa.

iv. They have all confessed and admitted to being a gang that specializes in snatching vehicles from the owners at gun point and robbing them of their valuables. They also specialize in stealing vehicles where parked by the owners and also receive stolen vehicles. All the vehicles listed above and other properties stolen were recovered from them.

v. They will be arraigned in court on completion of investigation

CASE 4
CRIMINAL CONSPIRACY, ARMED ROBBERY AND RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY

SUSPECTS:
i. Bawa Garba ‘m’ 30yrs

EXHIBITS

On 25th October, 2018 at about 1015hrs, one Osagele ‘m’ reported that while on his way from Lagos State to his home town in Edo State, unknown gun men blocked the highway and robbed him of his Toyota Sienna car.

ii. Consequently, the Police Federal highway patrol teams and anti-crime patrol in the area were immediately alerted. Operatives of the IGP Tactical Special Squad on Kidnapping and other violent crimes while on intelligence gathering and confidence building patrol intercepted the distress call and swung into action. They arrested the above named suspect, Bawa Garba and recovered the said Sienna.

iii. The above mentioned vehicles were also recovered from the suspect’s hideout. He will be arraigned in court on completion of investigation.

CASE 5
ARREST OF NOTORIOUS SUSPECTS THAT SPECIALIZE IN BURGLARY IN KADUNA AND KANO STATES BY SPLASHING CHEMICALS ON THE WALL OF THE LIVING HOUSE AND SHOPPING MALL THEREBY GAINING ENTRANCE INTO THE BUILDING
SUSPECTS:
i. Samaila Abdullahi
ii. Alqasim Mohammed Umar
iii. Kahlidu Abdullahi

EXHIBITS
i. Chemicals for Burglary and House Breaking

The three (3) suspects specialize in house breaking and burglary using chemicals to weaken the wall of houses of their victims and using other breaking implements to gain entrance and rob owner of the resident.

ii. They have confessed to the crime and admitted to various criminal roles they played in the commission of series of house breaking and burglary in Kano and Kaduna States.

iii. Some of their victims have identified them and they will be charged to court on completion of investigation.
